Welcome, blog readers! We are Jim Murray and Megan Zavieh, two attorneys and real estate brokers who also happen to be father and daughter. We are the team behind the Mission Valley Real Estate Company, located in Fremont, California, and serving the entire San Francisco Bay Area. We plan to take turns posting items and articles of interest to those of you who are trying to make sense of this crazy real estate market in the Bay Area.

Jim has been actively involved in real estate buying and selling and in the law surrounding real estate for over 30 years. He has handled hundreds of transactions, including many families buying and selling their homes. He has also been heavily involved, both as an attorney and as a broker, in assisting homeowners in the current economic downturn to either save their home from foreclosure or to help them sell it in a short sale. I am Megan, and I began working for Jim as a teenager. I then went to law school at Berkeley and moved to New York, where I clerked for a Federal judge and worked in three large law firms over the course of nearly 10 years. I then came back to California and began working again with Jim. I put my legal and real estate knowledge to work for my clients, many of whom are buyers trying to find bargains in this age of foreclosures. Please visit our bios page to learn more about us.
