Jim Murray is a lifelong resident of the Bay Area and has made Fremont his home for over 30 years. He obtained his law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1975. After working as an attorney for more than 35 years, he recently retired from the practice of law. Jim obtained his real estate broker license in 1984 and has represented hundreds of families in the purchase and sale of their homes; commercial developers and businesses building, leasing and subdividing properties; and banks marketing their foreclosed homes. He is well-versed in many technical aspects of real estate investment, including IRC 1031 exchanges (deferred recognition of profit in real estate investments). After spending many years as an associated broker with a major real estate franchise in Fremont, Jim opened the Mission Valley Real Estate Company in 1994.

Jim is highly recognizable in the community. He coached his children Sean and Megan in baseball and soccer for many years, and their teammates are now the parents in families looking to buy and sell their homes. He remains active as a sports official with the Mission Valley Athletic League and City of Fremont athletic programs. He and his golden retriever Rogan have been active members of the California Search and Rescue Dog Association, a passion sparked when 5-year-old Megan was lost in the woods. Many Fremont residents also remember Sierra Sunshine, an instrumental member of the original Mission Valley Real Estate Company marketing team.

Megan (Murray) Zavieh is a Fremont native who received her bachelor’s degree from Humboldt State and her law degree with honors from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall). After moving east and clerking at the United States Court of International Trade for two years, she developed real estate, business, and securities litigation expertise representing major financial institutions in New York.

In 2007, she returned home with her family to join her father Jim in his real estate practice. It is a perfect fit, given that Megan worked for a prominent real estate franchise as a teenager, and with Jim while she attended law school. She brings her extensive legal and business expertise to her real estate practice, as well as an understanding of the financial and emotional aspects of buying and selling homes.

Megan relies on the assistance of her marketing manager Sara (age 4 years) and assistant Sydney (age 2 years), as well as their trusty guardians Maximus and Nevada (golden retriever mixes, age 8)..

Since March 2011, Megan has been living abroad with her family in Australia. She remains involved in the affairs of the Mission Valley Real Estate Company in a support capacity and is available to assist clients on an ad hoc basis, but she is currently not the primary representative for any clients.
